Personal History
Randall Jackson was born in Philadelphia, PA in the year 2342. Growing up he was always mechanically inclined and has always wanted to be an engineer in Starfleet as far back as he can remember. It was to the surprise of no one who knew him that he enrolled in Starfleet Academy in the fall of 2360 when he was eighteen. After graduating from the Academy he was assigned to the the Ambassador class USS Valdemar as a junior engineer. After being the prodigy engineer his whole life Randall had to adapt to the fact that he was not the best anymore and that transition position slowed down his promotion to Lieutenant junior grade taking him three and half years. Having found his footing it did not take long for him to get an Assistant Chief Engineer offer on the Spector. After three years on the Spector he was assigned to the Stargazer-A as the Chief Engineer where he met the ship's First Officer Jack Crusher. When Jack was offered command of the Curie in early Randall transferred with him in order to explore the Delta Quadrant.
