Personal History
Miles never went to starfleet academy but became an enlisted officer instead. In 2347 he was on the USS Rutledge during the Setlik III massacre. In 2364 he was assigned to the Enteprise-D under Captain Picard. While serving on the Enteprise he married Keiko Ishikawa in 2367. They had a daughter together in 2368 named Molly. He happily accepted the promotion to Chief of Operations of the Cardassian built Deep Space Nine much to the chagrin of his wife. The O'Brien's all moved to DS9 in 2369.
At first Miles hated Julian Bashir but after the good doctor saved his life about a year after their assignment to DS9. The two eventually become friends and spend their free time playing darts, raquetball or trying to overcome the long odds in the holosuite with programs such as "The Battle of Britain," and "The Alamo."
