Toya was born in Brooklyn, NY to a pair of starfleet officers in the year 2357. At the age of 18 in 2375 she entered starfleet Academy. She graduated number six in her class in 2379. She gave birth to her daughter N'Dayja three weeks after her graduation from the Academy. She was assigned to the USS Pheonix on her maiden voyage but had to leave N'Dayja on Earth with her mother. She was on the Pheonix when she was lost due to Admiral Dughtry and the orb of time. She like the rest of the Pheonix crew was transported to the year 2446 where the Pheonix roundezvoused with the USS Enterprise (NCC 1701-G). She played a major part in the security of the conference to admit the Romulan empire into the Federation. When the Pheonix was destroyed by the Kazon she was reassigned to the USS Enterprise (NCC 1701-G).
Now her daughter is an Rear Admiral in starfleet. She also has a son who is one named Robert Normandy, Jr. His father was killed on an undercover mission on Ferrius Prime. She initially blamed Victor Caroline for his death thinking it was so Victor could be with her but after calming down she finally forgave the young Ensign. She is currently romantically involved with Lieutenant Riker the grandson of Admiral Riker's duplicate who is also one quarter Cardassian. She was finally promoted to Lieutenant junior grade in 2448 after the Enterprise returned from it's journey accros the multiverse. In 2449 she gave birth to another son named William Thomas Riker IV who like his father goes by Tom. She was promoted to full Lieutenant in 2453.
