Lalris left Bajor about eighteen months before the Cardassians withdrew for Starfleet Academy entering at the age of 23. Having not been back to Bajor since she left she requested an assignment on ta ship that would be assigned to Deep Space Nine so she could go home. Unfortunately her first task after arriving at the ship was to repair massive damage to the ship done in a Progenitor attack.
