Personal History
Born in the year 2421 on Qo'noS to a pair of diplomats. His dream was to be a starfleet officer since he was 5. He hopes to one day be the youngest captain ever beating Kirk's record. At the age of seven both his parents died. He then returned to the only home he knew of Qo'noS to live with his best friend. His foster parents began training him in the use of bat'leth and mek' leth. He constantly had friction with his foster father because he wanted to maintain his humanity. He does possess the Klingon temper and mentality in battle. In the year 2438 he was accepted into the academy and was off to join Starfleet the next fall much to his foster father's chagrin. He has not spoken with him since. He met the mother of his three kids, Robin Smith, while at Starfleet Academy.
Their first son was born in 2445 and was named John Syton, Jr. In 2446 he was awarded the Chris Pike Award of Valor for his actions during the Cardassian War. He also received another promotion to Commander in 2446 for a job well done in the quarantine crisis while the Captain was away on leave.
In 2447 after the Enterprise's return from the Delta Quadrant, a trip that led to the death of the Captain, John was promoted to the Captain and given command of the USS Enterprise. His second son, Demonte' was also born in 2447 due to the rogue changeling impersonating Doctor Thomas Boston inducing labor. Following the birth of his son Doctor Boston tried to take over the Enterprise but was thrwated. The first official mission of the Enterprise under John's command saw her be declared lost as she was jumping between the various multiverses for eight months.
His third son was born in 2450 concieved while he and his wife Captain Smith were on leave. After commanding the Enterprise for six years he was promoted to Rear Admiral (skipping Commodore since he was not in command of a starbase) and retains command of the Enterprise in 2453.
